Dr. Dan Bamshad
Dr. Dan Bamshad, our esteemed lead practitioner at Platinum Pediatric Dentistry, is a board-certified pediatric dentist recognized by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (ABPD). Born and raised in New York, Dr. Dan’s passion for dentistry developed early on, leading him to achieve his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine. Throughout his academic journey, he garnered numerous honors and awards in Pediatric Dentistry and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dedicated to furthering his expertise, Dr. Dan pursued an additional two-year residency training in Pediatric Dentistry at the renowned Northwell Health – Cohen Children’s Medical Center (formerly known as North Shore-LIJ). This intensive program provided him with extensive training in clinical and didactic pediatric dentistry, encompassing behavior management techniques, oral conscious sedation, and full mouth rehabilitation under general anesthesia.
Dr. Dan has also received comprehensive training in orthodontic therapy and treatment planning, ensuring a well-rounded approach to patient care. Beyond his clinical proficiency, his main objective is to prioritize patient comfort, fostering a positive outlook towards dentistry. His calm demeanor and gentle approach establish trust with every patient he treats.
A former member of professional organizations such as the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Dan is certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). In his leisure time, Dr. Dan enjoys quality moments with his family, indulging in gardening, and exploring his passion for travel.
